Gold Week

SCHF:: Fundraiser Website
CHALLENGE

Sydney Children's Hospital (SCH) is one of Australia's leading specialist medical centres for children. They provide quality, comprehensive and expert clinical services for the children and families of NSW and beyond.

Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation (SCHF) wanted to create an updated Gold Week website that has an easy to use content management system to be part of the communication channel to partners and supporters about the events and efforts to help them raise $600,000 for the ill and injured children treated at the hospital.

The website would also provide greater understanding of users' interests by tracking where SCHF's users are spending most of their time. Moreover, SCHF also wanted a simple way for any user wishing to provide donation to support the excellent work and facilities that support children who are seriously ill.

To coincide with this year's Gold Week was also the Channel 9's Gold Week Telethon which raises much of the capital required to support the Foundation in improving the hospital care for children.

SOLUTION

Alpha Salmon is warmed to the work that SCHF provides in assisting sick children in SCH and immediately got involved. The solution is the provision of a content management system without the fine prints and licensing requirements. This enables SCHF to provide their much needed funds and resources to focus on fundraising activities. Naturally, Alpha CMS was introduced and implemented for SCHF's Gold Week website to support this cause.

The online donation facility was another key success to this website. Alpha Salmon consulted to ensure seamless integration with the Gold Week site.

RESULT

At this year's Gold Week Telethon on Channel 9, through the support of the community, SCHF was able to raise a further $2.1 million for the cause.

The website now supports and reflects the fundraising activities that SCHF provides to the hospital.
